RK is driven by diverse passions, photography plays a significant role in his artistic journey. He has co-authored the pictorial book ‘Brahma’s Pushkar: Ancient Indian Pilgrimage’ which speaks of its spiritual essence and historical significance. His another pictorial book ‘CHAI: The Experience of Indian Tea,’ text by Rekha Sarin, is a visual treat that traces leaf to cup. The book received many accolades, including the Best Beverage Book in the World’ by Le Cordon Bleu, France. It is also included in the UNESCO’s heritage list. RK’s latest pictorial book ‘The Serengeti: Wild Wonders of Africa’ is a pictorial journey into some of the earth’s most iconic and untamed landscapes. This is an experience of a world of wonder in which every link is essential in the circle of life.
RK has conducted solo exhibitions at Triveni Kala Sangam, Delhi, NCPA and Jahangir Art Gallery Mumbai and has drawn appreciative reviews. He has also been a part of the five-member jury to select the National Art Awards. RK has been conferred with several National and International awards for photography, including the Commonwealth Photographic Award on environment as a theme, the National Wildlife Photographer Award, and the National Award on the theme of literacy.
